New SSHRC Canada Postdoctoral Research Award program and internal deadlines

If you are an applicant seeking to be housed in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Memorial University, please contact Savanna Muscat (smuscat@mun.ca) as soon as possible for detailed information about the supports HSS can provide, as well as the internal processes in obtaining the necessary signatures.

Although applicants submit directly to the funding agency as per their instructions and do not need to submit through Memorial's Researcher Portal, please note that the Institutional Nomination Commitment form is part of the application and should be completed by HSS's Associate Dean (Research), who will coordinate with the supervisor and the department head (or designate) at Memorial where the proposed postdoctoral research will take place. The form is available in the SSHRC application portal. Use Dr. Meghan Burchell, Associate Dean (Research), assocdeanreshss@mun.ca, as the signatory for this form.

In order for the ADR, Department Head and supervisor to be able to provide support to the applicant on the institutional documents, please adhere to the HSS internal deadline of Sept. 2, 2025.
