SSHRC invitation to complete a survey for next Imagining Canada's Future initiative

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) invites you to share your insights as part of the Imagining Canada’s Future initiative. This initiative mobilizes research excellence and talent to address emerging societal challenges and inform decision-making across sectors. Academic research in Canada has a critical role to play in helping Canadians prepare for and navigate an uncertain, rapidly changing future.

 Why your input matters: SSHRC, in collaboration with Policy Horizons Canada, the Government of Canada’s centre of excellence in foresight, has identified five future challenges expected to impact the Canadian society in the next ten years. Addressing these challenges will call for multidisciplinary thinking and cross-sectoral collaboration, this is why input from experts across disciplines is crucial to better understand these challenges.

 How to contribute: We invite you to complete a short survey reflecting on how these challenges intersect with your field of expertise. The survey includes five thematic questions and one prioritization question. Responses are anonymous and will be aggregated for analysis.

 Deadline: Please submit your response by October 31, 2025. You are welcome to share the survey with colleagues in the academic community.
