Dr. Tana Allen, vice-president (research and innovation) has announced the appointment of Paula Clarke as the permanent Director of Research Initiatives and Services (RIS), effective Monday, March 9. Ms. Clarke served as interim director of RIS since this past September.

A thoughtful, dynamic and forward-thinking leader, Ms. Clarke oversees RIS, Memorial’s central pan-university research service unit, providing strategic and operational oversight. A proud Memorial alumna (bachelor of science in biochemistry and master of business administration), Ms. Clarke guides a team of dedicated research administrators who enhance and strengthen Memorial’s research ecosystem.
