A Dialogue on Support for Indigenous Research through SSHRC’s Funding Opportunities

Tim Wilson, PhD, Executive Director, Research Grants and Partnerships (SSHRC) Over its 40-year history, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) has focused on building Canada’s capacity to undertake world class research — and, as a result, has funded Canada’s top researchers and research trainees. As Executive Director of Research Grants and Partnerships at SSHRC, Tim Wilson is responsible for overseeing all of the Agency’s Grant programs. At this meeting, he will provide a brief summary about support for Indigenous Research through SSHRC’s funding opportunities. Then, there will be lots of time for questions and a dialogue about individuals’ experiences with SSHRC’s funding programs. 

The dialogue will be chaired by Dr. Max Liboiron, Associate Vice-President (Indigenous Research), Memorial University.
