The Dean’s Office in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences invites you to celebrate with us!
A Fine Crowd is our annual reception that recognizes the accomplishments of our colleagues in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the important contributions our faculty make to the life of Memorial University.
This event honours authors who have published books in the past academic year, recipients of the Dean’s Awards, research grant recipients and those faculty members who have received special recognition in the past academic year. The William J. Kirwin Award for retiree recognition is also presented at this event, as is the Peter Cashin Prize.
Originally planned as an in-person event for March 26, A Fine Crowd will be held as an online celebration via Facebook Live on September 24 at 1 p.m. Newfoundland time. Honorees, colleagues, friends, family and members of the extended Memorial University community are invited to join us live for the event, which will also be available for re-viewing and sharing after the fact. Come join us as we honour and celebrate these accomplishments of our HSS colleagues.
