New Research Security Policy, STRAC and NSGRP, comes into effect May 1

The Canadian federal government’s Sensitive Technology Research and Affiliations of Concern (STRAC) Policy was released on January 16, 2024, and will come into effect on May 1, 2024. The policy is not retroactive. Researchers developing applications for submission after May 1 should familiarize themselves with the steps on how to comply with the new policy. Additionally, researchers should familiarize themselves with the National Security Guidelines for Research Partnerships (NSGRP).
