Office of the Vice-President (Research) new information webpage, for STRAC

Beginning May 1, the federal government’s new Sensitive Technology Research and Affiliations of Concern (STRAC) policy comes into effect. At that time, all applications to Canada’s federal granting agencies – the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) – and the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) will include an attestation document on Research Security. The Office of the Vice-President (Research), will be launching a new information webpage, Safeguarding Research, with pertinent details from the federal government related to the new policy, links to guidelines, news and other resources. You’ll find the page here. It is important for our research community to familiarize themselves with the new policy and check back to the website for updates.
