The Global Excellence Initiative (GEI) is a program administered by Universities Canada which provides free and useful supports to help researchers at institutions win major research prizes.

 GEI aims to increase the number of major research prizes won by Canadians and raise the profile of Canadian research worldwide. Supports offered include an inventory of research awards, a review service to strengthen nominations and other knowledge-sharing resources. They publish a quarterly newsletter to share information about these opportunities and upcoming award deadlines. You will find an option to subscribe at the bottom of our website.

On July 23rd, 2024, GEI is hosting a free webinar for anyone interested in learning more about the Guggenheim Fellowships, a mid-career opportunity for researchers and professionals across all disciplines.
