The J. R. Smallwood Foundation offers conference grants (up to $5,000.00) in support of organizing and hosting scholarly conferences that are within the Foundation's mandate. A conference and its organizers can be affiliated with Memorial University or other institutions. Applications for conference grants together with other grant applications are adjudicated by an Awards Panel.

This application must be completed by the person organizing the conference or a person delegated by the conference’s organizing committee.

E-mailing the intent to apply as early as possible will help to facilitate an efficient review. A Grants Facilitator can answer any questions you may have about internal or external submission procedures.
