The Nexus Centre Presents: Research Grant Funding Tips for HSS Graduate Students

Join hosts, HSS Grants Facilitation Officer Heather C. O'Brien and Matthew Milner, along with the Nexus Centre for a session targeted to all HSS graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and their supervisors who would like to apply to any of the following, upcoming research grant competitions:

1. NSTP (HSS deadline Oct. 21): Polar Knowledge: Northern Scientific Training Program 2025-26

2. Smallwood (HSS deadline Nov. 12): Memorial Internal Grant: J.R. Smallwood Foundation Research Grant

3. ISER (HSS deadline Feb. 15): Memorial Internal Grant: ISER Research Grant

4. PAO (anticipated HSS deadline May. 19): The Provincial Archaeology Office: Archaeological Research Grants Program

The session will review terms and conditions for each grant, submission procedures, as well as how to organize budgets if applying to multiple grants for a single research project.
